The MOTI DID (Decentralized Identifier) Protocol is a framework within the MOTI ecosystem that provides users with a secure, verifiable, and self-sovereign digital identity.

Claim Your Self-Sovereign Identity

Decentralised Identifier (DID)

Your DID represents your unique identity in the MOTI ecosystem. It contains a secure key that you control, used for signing and verifying credentials.

Your DID includes your public key and username, ensuring that your identity is unique and securely managed, making your identity robust and tamper-proof.

Your DID runs on a network of 80,000 nodes that can validate and ensure the integrity and authenticity of your identity.

Passport

Your passport holds your verifiable credentials, which act as attestations to your identity.

Each verifiable credential is a slice of who you are, forming the mosaic of your reputation. They are proof of your humanity, proof of attendance, proof of contributions—essentially translating your digital footprint and real-life activities into an identity-based digital asset.

Your passport grants you access to exclusive spaces, communities, and opportunities based on your verified credentials. It acts as your gateway to environments where your skills and achievements matter, ensuring secure and meaningful interactions with trusted networks.

Additionally, your passport enables the use of your credentials for token and reward distribution. By validating your contributions, it ensures fair and transparent allocation of rewards, recognizing your achievements and incentivizing continued participation. Your passport is your key to access and rewards in the digital ecosystem.

Keychain

Your keychain is the most private way to store the credentials and keys you need to access your personal data across different services, apps, and platforms. It enables you to aggregate your data securely. As third-party developers create new ways to utilize your data, your keychain allows this data to be turned into verifiable credentials.

These credentials can then be used to build, monetize, and leverage your reputation, enhancing your connections and opportunities in the digital ecosystem.

Self-Sovereign Bio

Your self-sovereign bio is the external representation of your digital identity, much like how makeup or fashion represents your physical self. It’s a space where you can showcase your best self and connect with others.

This digital bio acts as a smart business card, allowing you to present yourself authentically across various environments and display your verifiable credentials, showcasing your endorsements, achievements as badges to build trust and support your story.

In summary, your identity contains:

  • DID, which grants you control of your identity

  • Passport, which holds all your verifiable credentials

  • Keychain, which stores all your credentials and keys to access data sources

  • Bio, which represents your identity
